LOL....Lower zone my a@@..... And they actually sell it as the main thing. Will probably wait for the grace period and sell it afterwards. Gonna stick with Reaper where they actually put in new things every week and you can actually speak with the developers without marketing crap.

PS. Cubase is not "Steinberg" for a long time now.

I do agree that they need new management, badly. But right now im loving my 8.5 pro, does everything i want it to do and i get results fast and they sound great.I can operate at the highest level with my work.
And thats what is important, the result.
Its not about trends, its about getting results.
What im really curious about is performance.

I´m a loyal Cubase unser and have paid for every update since version 5, but i think i´ll pass this version. Come on Steinberg, there is nothing new in this version that I don´t have already. The Plugin Sentinel and the mixer undo are nice things, but they should be free updates.

Ableton is a toy DAW? I would like to discuss it with you but I see you have a cubase grav so I'll let it pass. Just please, no need to be so absolute just because you like Cubase. Have a nice day sir.

For all the Nexus users (non-legit, of course)........it's 32 bit and is Blacklisted on Cubase 9.

Also all of my iZotope VST 2's came up Blacklisted, too; so you'll have to use the VST3 versions which do work!
When I try to "Reactivate" them, Cubase crashes.......
    Just saying

Not that this matters much to me since I run all 64bit plugins anyway but for someone thinking about upgrading:

    Plug-in Sentinel

Cubase scans your plug-ins when you launch it the first time or if you install new ones.
With Cubase 9 we introduce the Plug-in Sentinel, who has taken on the job to scan all VST plug-ins on startup.

The most notable improvement of the Plug-in Sentinel is that, if a plug-in crashes during the initial scanning, Cubase won’t be affected and hence won’t crash too. These problematic plug-ins will then end up on a blacklist.

As a result, the start-up procedure is now really smooth. All 32-bit plug-ins will also get blacklisted since Cubase 9 only supports 64-bit plug-ins.
