I was invited to a Reaper party last year...lots of tea and sardines were served.

 

And the fantastic convolution reverb "ReaVerb" is also missing. Hey, there must be something exclusive to Reaper.

But, in case it got misunderstood: I wasn't really serious about this. Just wanted to tease a bit, for fun.

What upgrade cost? I thought you were an Ableton Live guy. Sure, Ableton Live 10 upgrade cost will also hurt but that release isn't due until 2019, so you're fine!

 

I have to buy some gear and probably a new audio interface so i might have to wait another month or so, but no biggie, let them guinea pig some users first so i dont have to fuck around with random flying faders and shit, lol.

Although i have to say that waves infected mushroom does sound interesting.

Although a proud Reaper user, didn't I read something about Cubase 9 being a free upgrade to 8.5 users?

 

Best upgrade for cubase came last year. It's called Studio One 3.

It's at least as interesting as Beatskillz Slam Dawg.

They even spelled skills with a Z and dog with an AW. If anything screams "hip and edgy," it's that.

 

Live for producing, Cubase for vocal recording and everything that comes after that. But yeah, I'm sure Ableton will rake me over the coals for the upgrade. I recall seeing something like $230 to upgrade from 8 to 9. That's some boning right there.

Edit: I checked. $240, down from $299. Fuck off, Ableton.

Man, I'd be thrilled if that were true, but I'm pretty sure that's just for guys who buy 8.5 within 6 weeks of the C9 release. From what I've read, that's usually how it goes. I'll check my account come December 7, but I don't have high hopes.

And PLEASE someone correct me. I would really like that free upgrade!
