It only happens to me? More or less, 1 out of 3 times I load Kontakt, Cubase 12 crashes. It doesn't matter if I use Cubase VR, R2R or TC Team, or if I use Kontakt Bobdule or R2R. The pattern is always the same. System reinstalled from scratch, Visual C++ installed, all steps carefully followed, antivirus disabled, internet blocked... Anyone having problems with C12 and Kontakt 6.7?

 

I don't know i use Kontakt 6.6.1 R2R. It works perfectly with my Cubase 12 R2R, and Legit Cubase Elements 11. My Cubase previoulsy crashed randomly, as soon i've cleaned everything from VR and installed Cubase 12 R2R, no problems at all.

 

I think it is a 6.70 problem, happens to me in presonus.

 

Yes, it seems to be a problem with Kontakt 6.7.0. I have installed Kontakt 6.6.1 and it works fine on C12, though only vst3. C12 doesn't even detect Kontakt vst2.

I use Kontakt 6.7 portable with VR C12 and have had no problems.......win 10 ltsc

 

I also use both Kontakt 5.80 (Portable) and 6.7.0 (Portable) together with Legit C12 Pro and only problems I have is the 'Allow Window to be Resized' option with v5.80 and doesn't find v6.7.0 (VST3) in my Portable folder but finds the v6.7.0 (VST) version and that one works great and also allows window to be resized correctly on a 4k Monitor unlike 5.80. I've not tried any other versions for a long while as the Portable versions just always work and find all libraries so I have no hassle and just rename the .dll files (if required) to Kontakt 5.dll or Kontakt 6.dll so I don't have any issues with old projects not loading up. I prefer the Portable versions myself and being able to add Wallpapers in the Library Manager. You might want to make sure Multiprocessing Support in Kontakt > Settings (Cog wheel icon)> Engine is set to OFF if you have 'Activate Multi Processing' ticked in C12 Studio > Studio Setup > Audio System (Top) > Advanced Options or vice versa. I'm sure I read something somewhere once about issues with Multi-Processing in both being enabled.

I uninstalled Kontakt 6.70 and went back to 6.6.1 and Cubase 12 is acting normally again
