Cubase 10.5, win7 : zombie process fix?

    So, although Cubase 10.5 Pro in Win 7 generally works just fine for studio work, it's always necessary to manually close cubase after program exit, 'cos even though it appears to have fully closed, a zombie process remains (each time between 100-800mb) if not manually removed...

    Other than wasting memory it's hardly a show-stopper - but it is one of those pointless little irritants that just shouldn't exist... Happily, i randomly hit upon what appears to be a fix. Basically, if you can live without the splash screen, the problem goes away and Cubase 10.5.20 will close gracefully, leaving behind no more lurking zombie processses!

    THE FIX: Edit Menu -> Prefs -> General -> Untick the 'Use Hub' checkbox and apply/save.
