crossover for subs

    hi,i bought a second hand pa. 2 tops 2 subs separate amp for tops and subs. with a crossover unit also
    im just curious,in the crossover,where(roughly) should the crossover point be?
    i be playing dance music through the system.

    So that you get a flat as possible frequency response in correlation with your monitors.

    80Hz is the THX standard. Another suggestion would be to set it half octave to an octave above your speaker's -3dB lowend point if you know where that is on your tops. Every listening room is different & it would be good for you to learn how to do a rough calibration of your system even with a free SPL checker app on your mobile phone. Do you know what kind of filters your crossover offers? Butterworth, Linkwitz-Riley, switchable dB per octave?

    Most club systems are tiny stereo /more mono/ so if it sounds good in mono it will sound good in stereo
