Okay I have question I want use my Guitar Amp to create Feedback but I don't want to use its tone. I also want to keep the volume low because I live in a apartment. I am going to use either AMP Sim in my DAW or my Zoom AMP Sim pedal. I have a D.I. but how do I route all this?

    Thanks.

    I tested :
    BetaBugs Audio FeedBug
    BlueCat AcouFiend
    Softube Acoustic Feedback

Softube worked better, and very realistic.
I could get infinite sound when vibrating the string (because it needs at least a LITTLE signal to know the PITCH).

i helped it with an orange squeezer like compressor' plugin in front.
Here is one (there is always one in any guitar sim suite) :

    Simple compressor, very natural.
    Just need to be CLEAN.

    Another solution is "freeze".

Even in the box fuzz boxes plus compression will usually get the job done. Although the resulting tone may be egregious.

Never saw the Bluecat stuff, have to try that!

Use a small speaker close to the strings or put the headstock of the guitar against the side of the speaker cabinet.

Just experiment until you move enough air. My 5" speaker did it for me, but you have to get the distance/volume thing right.
