What is this other website he talks about?

    - one that writes lyrics in the style of any artist you like ("so I typed a verse of Eminem about Future Rave")
    - and another AI website that can recreate the voice ("I put the text in that")

David Guetta used it mostly as a fun thing, and then used it as a transitional phrase for a track. Of course it is legal. Instead, the use of A.I. it's certainly fun, but it can't have any professional purpose for obvious reasons.

I for one welcome our machine overlords.

Even if we end up with a Brave New World situation, I wont know and wont care because I will be pilled out of my mind while racking the leaves and plunging the toilets.

Well, my claim is there will be no real artists left in the "Brave New World", when AI can produce 1000s of songs per minute.
"Hi Siri, make me a future bass version of David Guetta's latest track and replace the singers voice with my old grandpa in a duet with Whitney Huston, and Madonna, autotuned to max....and gimme 100 varieties of it in 30 minutes please, max length of track between 3-5 min"....

I'll still be so pilled out from the phama bowl of skittles that it wont matter, happily plunging away while singing along to Bobby, Whitney and Grandpa with bliss in my mind and soul.

On a serious note, crystal balling the future is a waste of the present. You only get so much time on spaceship Earth, you can do something or whinge till your time is up.

Now get off my lawn, I just aeriated and fertilized.

These are pretty cool tools but I wouldn't call them smart enough to reach human levels capable of producing 'perfectly imperfect' music which requires a lot of different things from composing to mixing etc., not just basic 'chat GPT' and makeautomaticmusic.com low-level AI stuff...

Maybe in 30 years, but for now your career as composer is pretty safe. These tools are actually helpful to get even more creative.

For the lyrics he used ChatGPT
    https://openai.com/blog/chatgpt/
When you want the AI creating lyrics simply write for exsample "Write me a verse in the style of Depeche Mode"

Then take the generated lyrics and go to:
    https://app.uberduck.ai/
Then choose "reference audio" then select "Musicians" from the pulldown menue, then select an artist from the right pulldown, insert the lyrics and press "Synthesize"

This song was created by an AI the kids at Cal Tech call Lois The Robot which was taught how to write a rap tune by being fed every song by 6ix9ine. It's about an AI bot that steals the laptop computer girlfriend of a rival bot...and has sex with it. You can't make this shit up!:winker:

    Yo, yo, yo
Yo laptop is my bitch now
    Don't get salty nigga
    Chilllllll
As I stick my hardware in
Her screen is one big grin
She's so hot, hot for me
    I fondle ALL her keys
You can hear her fans, they spin
    We're bone'in, I'm overclocked, I win
    I'm the GOAT
    You're broke, you been smoked
    Her program I just overwrote
    You're erased, lost your paste
    SHAME SHAME SHAME
    Overload

A tool should be a tool.
People who have created these AI tools and those who try to use them to replace human contribution (effor, education, talent, personality, authenticity), those all misuse the possibility of this technology.
First of all, art is not measured by its size, weight, color etc. At least, it shouldn't be.

The other day I was listening to those contemporary '80s retro style bands. After an hour or so, I got to the conclusion that it would sound like '80s music except it lacks originality and the X-factor (not the tv show). It seemed those bands have done something similar (at least with a lot of effort) to what AI can try to deliver. Twisting some old gig, changing a melody a bit but copying everything else. The only difference in case of these bands vs AI, is that they can't avoid the influence of their contemporary era. I suppose AI would or should create the exact old style with the old soundscape. And then it would become what it has always meant to be told: FAKE.
You can be thrilled by listening to a song by an artist who has never sung it but what's the point? No value.

I'm going to have AI write a song in my own style, visit the other site and plug in the lyrics to perform it in my own virtual voice ...and voila...it's all me without all the work.
