    any thoughts are appreciated,

Windows won't allow me to upgrade to Win 11, the message is "This PC does not meet the minimum requirements to run Windows 11"

My laptop is an older Alienware but not ancient, is it? Maybe it is too old?
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz 7th Gen
    16.0 GB (15.9 GB usable)

already updated all drivers from Alienware and windows,

    any thoughts are appreciated

Just use Rufus to create installer with system check bypass and all will be good. Probably missing TPM2 and Rufus has option to disable this check on install of Windows 11.

Yeah, it's about Trusted Platform Module and its absence.
Didn't know that Rufus can bypass it tho.
@Bunford thank you for the tip!

An 8th gen CPU is is required for Windows 11 to install/upgrade through the normal official means. You can however, install/upgrade Windows 11 on an older system if you have a basic knowledge of how to manipulate Windows.

Some text & video to get you started. Look for more recent info (2023):

Best Rufus Version to do so is 3.18, because since 3.19 they moved it to a different Location.

    Thank you for the replies.

I was hoping someone was going to say “flip the switch that enables Windows 11 installation and the message will go away and you’ll be able to install windows 11 without problems and you’ll have better CPU performance in Studio One!”

I think I will just try not to pick the scab for a little while and keep going with what I have for now, I appreciate the replies and I will come back to this thread when I’m ready to be annoyed.

I keep my computer in airplane mode and only connect to the Internet to download an and update I don’t do any web browsing use an iPad for that maybe that helps

    Be well everyone.

RE: microsoft "upgrades". Typically ms upgrades of anything are clusterfucks of magnanimous proportions. If it were me I would completely backup (disk image) your current system, wipe it, and then do a complete ground-up INSTALL of win11. Not an upgrade.
