    Hello everyone,
I want to know, how do I know when 2 or 3 kick play correctly in phase, without excessive losses of frequencies?

    Thanks

place the samples separately on your playlist, and see where the waves align. If there is NO phase cancellation it will sound louder, if there is excessive loss in sound, that means theres a lot of phase cancellation. You can usually realign each of the kicks so they all match a similiar phase, but also use phase invertion on the sampler (most samplers usually have this function)

Ok then just look at the waveform?
ps there is a plugin that tells me that the phase is correct?

    1) Use a correlation meter plugin. There are several free ones (FLUX makes one, from the top of my head). Hardpan each sample and check/read the sum with a correlation meter.
    2) When layering on the timeline, zoom in alot and adjust/move/offset/phase invert one out of the two waves so that they are in phase. If you layer/add more waves, just repeat this nudge/phase invert process.
    3) Listen in mono and nudge/offset/phase invert one wave. When the two combined are loud they are in phase. When it sounds phasey and weak, they are out of phase.

    Very simple to mix phases of 2 instruments (2 kicks or 2 snares(ex. bottom/up) or ...) :
    1. Put your kick#1 on channel#1 and pan it to left
    1. Put your kick#2 on channel#2 and pan it to right
    3. Put any correlation meter on masterbus, and if it shows -1 (out of phase) - you should change a polarity one of a kick (turn phase 180 degrees, so to say, upside down) - you see it in any mixer's channel. If it shows 0 or +1 (it has good correlation, in phase) - do nothing. If it doesn't work and you see "out of phase" (-1) in both ways (when you change the polarity or not) - try to replace one of your kicks to another one and do the same, or, in a bad way, work with correlation which is narrower (closer to 0) (a bit less phase problems), but you should know that phases are subtracted in this way. Closer to +1 means better, in phase, minimized phase problems! Closer to -1 means worse, more phase problems!
    4. When you adjusted your polarity don't forget to put your kicks back to the center pan (for mono - kicks/basses/lows must be in mono, because if your bass/lows are in right or left position it can lead to bass problems, e.g. listening in 5.1: subwoofer is mono, but your lows are in left or right, and these 5 speakers (2 fronts LR, 2 rears LR, 1 center) will play only mid frequencies and high frequencies, so there will be no bass in speakers and no bass in mono (subwoofer is silent, because no lows in mono), also 2.1, 7.1 etc.).

Correlation meters: brainworx bx_control/bx_meter, iZotope Insight, Nugen Visualizer, MeldaProduction MultiMeter, FLUX StereoTool 2/3, Voxengo SPAN etc.
    Enough???

Check out both Pi and Auto-Align from Sound Radix. One of those should help you, although in most instances all you need to do is put a plugin on one kick that will invert polarity of phase and listen to the sound both ways. Then just choose the phase position that sounds best. This method only won't work if the sounds are pretty much 90 or 270 degrees out of phase

I run Adobe Audition. Don't other DAW's have phase analysis in the edit mode? Mix them all on one track and let the phase analysis look at it, or put them in solo/mono and listen-----this sounds better, this sounds worse, or sometimes neither better or worse, just different.----------- Studio 555--Do you know how the cowboy got shit on his mustache? Also when adding kicks together a bit of selective EQing can help with phase issues. For example, if one kick brings mainly the high end, you could EQ out the lower frequences if the other kick has a lot of low end. You still get a full sound in the end and no phase issues :)

Audition in Adobe CC. It get's constant updates. I don't know what version they call it now. But all versions of Audition I have run over the years have phase analysis and correction and audio spectrum analysis.

I recorded on Audition for something like 11 years. I miss the spectral view so much. Nobody has spectral editing as good as Audition. Samplitude is the closest, but it's not really even a close second.

When I got a little more serious about making music, I felt I should try out some of the more popular DAWs. Many of them have some workflow advantages over Audition but it definitely outshines the big boys in a few areas. Ironically I ended up settling on Samplitude which is the only other DAW I know of that has that same single track view where you can treat each waveform in your session like its own project.

Good "workflow" seems to me to be easiest in what you are most familiar with. I tinker in other DAW's. Studio One came with my PreSonus, And Reaper seems pretty intuitive for me. (But file under "Old dog--New tricks syndrome.) Getting into working with some video now. hard to beat the way Adobe let's you integrate all your different formats and software. Back and forth between Premier and Audition, plus all the other video, photoshop, and graphic arts and editing toys and files tied together with Bridge. Get lost in there if ya want- Could spend all day in LightRoom....Working toward some kind of video to go with one of my songs.

Eventually I'm going to have to do the same thing. I'm not looking forward to learning another discipline of media production, but if I want to get anything done on my budget I need to vertically integrate the whole process and spend my money on the requisite gear.

I don't remember the name of the program, but apparently Samplitude/Sequoia integrates "seamlessly" with some other Magix video editor. Something I saw on one of kraznet's videos maybe. You sound like you're happy in Audition, but if you ever feel the need for a little more power, I strongly recommend Samplitude. It's somewhat similar, but with features out the ass. It took me a couple hours of watching tutorials to get a feel for it, but once it clicks for you it's much easier than, say, Pro Tools or Cubase.

Something I've been wondering for a while now, and you'll probably know the answer: does Audition have a grid? I swear I never even knew DAWs were supposed to come with a grid option until I switched to S1 and then eventually Samp. You can imagine how much effort it took me to copy a hook to its next repetition. I also didn't have an ASIO driver lol. I swear I used to be able to judge within 10ms how much time i needed to delete from a take to compensate for the recorded latency.

Lampwiikk mentioned alignment software by SoundRadix.
Another plugin of that sort is part of the Melda family of plugs: MAutoAlign. My experience with it is that it works reliably as far as such software can handle things at all (see below), and its operation is easy and intuitive.

Of course, for rather simple alignment tasks a visual and aural approach as described by other contributors will do the job. And with very complex sounds ("difficult" instruments as for instance a grand piano, especially when recorded by different microphone types and from different angles), those tools like MAutoAlign have to "surrender" anyway: With different parts (snippets) of the music, you always get completely different delay suggestions.
So, in the end, such tools are more a sort of facilitation and delay automation tool to spare you the manual adjustment of different tracks. Being aware of that limitation, they are a welcome help.
