whats up audiosex.. i dont know if anyone else is experiencing this problem but when running more than 3 nexus tracks in fl studio i get alot of glitching. so today i was experimenting with converting the fxp files to sf2. an to my surprise i got it to work. so i'll be converting my whole nexus preset folder to sf2. thats 62 different folders with alot of presets. all of the nexus, LV 1-4 an victory, Audio boost, Austin White, DRZA 1-3, HexLoops Nexus2 TRAP, Mr Amine 1-4, JJ Xp, and many many more (see Pic Below) . im interested in knowing how many people would like these converted files???

 

hi it would be quicker to copy paste nexus.dll
rename it to nexus 2.dll / nexus 3.dll ect
and see if it will fix the bug,
it will take you about 3mts to do the presets
and 3 sec to copy and paste.

its alot of time you dont get to make music.

 

What are Sf2 files used for?

 

.SF2 this is file SoundFont, I use FLStudio11.1.1 open file .SF2

- Vst Plugins Refx Nexus 2.2 use file preset .fxp

i did that already and still had the same problem.. good looking though

only problem is the size... geez just the piano presets alone was almost 2G (1.8) after conversion with each sf2 being 50mb with the same setting used in nexus. but they work good. tested them in samplelord and sf play

 

Man I'd love to be able to open nexus in kontakt. And if one of the guys gave it a decent gui we'd be golden. As far as the large file size I think saving them as nkis could compress them. Gonna be a ton of work, but bless whoever does it!

If you pay them then maybe the will. I dont think anyone has that much spare time to do that.

Yeah they could quit their job and just focus on getting you those new sounds you've been lusting after. Who needs a life right?

 

Major concerns would be for me Velocity layers & amount of samples needed/used.

Low CPU usage in nexus might not necessarily mean low CPU usage in Kontakt for an equivocal GUI setup.

Could in fact be huge but I don't know that for sure.

Also from past experience many of these 'sample converters' are not that great. Some are ok.

Many probems involved & a load of work, when u can possibly get far better reults using other software.

Just my opinion though

 

I like Nexus to play, literally, like a toy, some sounds are really good for inspiration. But once I begun a song with 5 instances of Nexus, and I had a problem in the high end, that I could only solve by recreating the same sounds into Ni Massive. I'm not sure why there is this problem with Nexus, but it's high end tends to generate harshness.

If someone converts say just one sample pack of choice to usable format I'll script a GUI that u will be usable in Kontakt but would only best to start with one to see how it goes.

I have a lot of other ongoing commitments also so it may take a bit of time but am willing to give it a go.

As so many people seem to want it can give it a go.

What about using 'VSampler 3.5' (by Speedsoft) for this purpose ?
Maybe not the best of the best 'Virtual Sampler' around (though !), but very accurate and reliable... and above all, able to export your works in several Formats ! *yes*

 

If you can explain the process I will go ahead and help make conversions. PM me. I have all the extensions too. but I will do a couple at a time.

 

I could do conversions too if you taught me, another question, the SF2 Files could be used in ableton (Kontakt)?

I've got some cool nexus expansions like the EDM one and other purchased ones, the EDM has sounds that are being used by Henry Fong and Tommy Trash in new tracks and all that.

 

im using chainer to do it and testing in samplelord and fruity soundfont player and since the sounds are in the nexus presets theres no need for wave samples. its just like the marvelous j sf2

 

SF2 files can be used in Kontakt although whether it the best way to go I not sure.

Will do a bit of research.

Your also going to be careful how you convert the patch ect i.e if you building a GUI in kontakt to include filters, reverb, chorus blah blah blah then u are going to have to think about what effects ect are included as standard in the preset ect. The patch itself obviously will be different but am unsure as will what the most appropriate way to convert.

Will have a think & come up a few ideas.
