the front plate looks sort of cheap. Like the bass station 2, as others have mentioned. But the case of the bass station 2 is actually very durable. You probably shouldn't hit one with a hammer, but they stand up to general production abuse fine. The control knobs, mod wheel and pitch wheels are obviously "Moog", like they had them already in inventory from some other synth. Too many blinking lights? sure.

People will complain no matter what they make. Too simple, too modern, too many patch points, too few patch points, too expensive, too whatever. Those people are free to enjoy their Behringers until they fall apart into too many pieces.

My metal Behringer 2600 will still be working after the plastic Moog (named) toy falls apart into too many pieces.
But really, I owned a Minimoog in 1978.
Why are we still stuck in this ancient mindset with ancient gear to match?
Because uneducated rappers thought retro was hip?
    Lets move on.
There must be some undiscovered technology for making new sounds besides analog osc>filter>amplifier.
I personally have taken up real guitar, real 5 string bass and real drums as a reaction to "modern" synth limitations.
May as well go really retro:guru:

I'll never understand the purpose of people telling others about gear they had "back then but sold it". It's kind of like war stories about walking into an ambush of some kind. It's an example of poor decision making, and usually bs anyway. It's not really the sort of resume builder you see done in very many other fields.

When my platoon was ambushed while on patrol in Mosul, Iraq, insurgents began hurling vintage Neumann U47's at us. My buddy was struck in the head and was rendered unconscious and profusely bleeding, and as I grabbed him by his backpack strap to drag him to the hopeful safety of an empty storefront I also grabbed one of the microphones and quickly stuffed it under my bulletproof vest. When eventually I returned home I sold it for enough money to buy a 1954 Martin D-28 but sadly lost it in my divorce settlement.
