    A true legend of Windows audio programming. Full DIY one, BTW.
    I don't know much about Windows C++ programming. But enough to take a look at WDL source code (kind of Reaper's libraries) and getting really scared :crazy: .. wow.. thats is dark magic... :lmao:

    For me, the intense customization in Reaper is more of a constant fuel for keeping workflow fast when you're ready to go down to business. It rewards you immensely.

    My customization in reaper involves many things, mostly revolving around one single custom toolbar that i put on top of the window and has all the actions i may ever need. Then from there, everything is a click away. When i say everything, i mean EVERYTHING is a click away from that toolbar: Track templates, different screen layouts, multimonitor layout, loop selected, unloop, show sends, show inserts, render project, toggle color bar etc etc etc....

    I didn't even mention mouse modifiers which are a huge workflow time saver.

    EDIT: Nervermind, i was replying to a post which turned out to be on page 1 of this thread LOL.

    The interesting note I have read on reaper forum is that Reaper V6 is less CPU killing than V5. One guy said V6 with all fx now does 8-9% better performance. So... Time to rethink that REAPER is an excellent DAW.
    Also, Chris from Airwindows now uses REAPER (can be seen in his latest videos) instead of Logic. "Switch to Reaper from ... DAW" trend still happens :)

    Reaper cost the same amount as 2 months of Pro Tools. Let that sink in.

    Dont know about that but you can remap EVERYTHING in reaper in terms of keys, mouse modifiers and macros... So just customize whatever key commands you might need to match your workflow.
    And again for the ones that are just getting into Reaper:
    First unofficial rule is "Right click on everything". There is a Universe of tools and options in there.
