Not tried yet) it is said that this option is for reaplugins and JS stuff, embedded as miniversions, but don't know about vst(i)...

These random points you can draw even with a very old versions. Just click/hold shift (as i remember) or maybe alt or ctrl... And draw...
It is for continuous automation, not stepped...
You can draw continuous smooth lines in midi editor too) all my projects have these many points.

 

I hope one day the genius at cockos implement a tool that will do something like Vienna EPro...
...We install a little exe on one or several slave machines... like the old teleport pro...and reaper master will distribute all the workload across the slaves... all via tcpip.

I would pay 300 bucks for that feature alone

I think it's an irony. Reaper does all that perfectly since a long time (tested it myself). It's called ReaMote (much more than ReaStream).
If it isn't would be a very epic fail, but that would be too good to be true :D

 

Yeah ReaMote that's it ! I confusely remembered testing something exactly like @wouala woualouf described and it was with Reaper and a secondary comp, that was it. It's very neat, I got on the Vienna Pro bandwagon after, as I find it more to my taste in concrete use, but ReaMote worked fine, just not as "streamlined" as vienna.

 

can i change mouse resolution in reaper for moving automation points...i must drag wide over screen borders away on laptop...

 

So, how to permanently dim the color palette ? The Dim color in theme adjuster works only for chosen colors on the track. I set how I wanted the tracks to be auto-colored in SWS autocolor or however is called, but the colors or too bright

 

I put the color palette in a toolbar dock on top of the main window so I can change colors on the fly. Alternatively, you can save track templates with the ‘dimmed’ colors you want.
I haven’t found a way to use the v6 color palettes with sws auto color though...

im so reaper stocked as fck at moment...no DAW could break my bond with ableton...didnt try cubase.potools and pyromix or whatever its called but i guess it would change nothing...since im no mixing engineer ...
but i guess i must dip into bitwig in a few years....

Yes, most people do not know that Justin (Reaper's Creator) also created one of the most popular audio player - Winamp.

 

Wonderful. I love the software, I love the philosophy of the company. I expect if they had ILocked it up and charged ridiculous prices for it like other companies everyone would attribute it with more value.Don't be fooled by the price or it's ease of access. Just try it out. It is brilliant!

 

My bad. You can actually use the theme adjuster script with the theme that comes from V6 classic that you have personalized through the theme tweaker/ dev tool (so with a different color scheme). It's grey out in the option menu, but you can start it through the action menu (search for adjuster in it) and apply its tweaks to the opened theme, as long as you started from the classic V6 theme. It doesn't work with V5 themes though.

 

...at mixing is a real treasure. If you know it a bit, you will spend half a time than the other DAWs...may be less. The Snapshots, makes my life easier.
