Im so excited already rocking the beta

 

Project running Reaper 6.0 on Catalina 10.15.1 64 bit, MacBook Air:
21 44.1kHz files loaded into 48kHz project.



These days you should be running 64 bit apps/programs, not 32 bit. Soon there will be no option but 64 bit. The reasoning is simple. Why put resources into a dying platform....?

Yes. Installed & loaded wav files from a Logic Pro X contents package. No modifications made yet.

 

Im working with it and can't find any good tweaks to make PM me if you find anything interesting

 

I can't wait for Reaper v6.66 :P

 

Personally, I don't heavily modify Reaper. Tweaks recommended by Reaper Mania & The Reaper Blog for project management & workflow are what I usually implement. As you can see in the project image above, there is no use of individual track/folder or group colors.

I do however prefer the mixer to be full screen with tracks laid out left to right.
Will also dock mixer to left of the arrange window for an inspector type layout.

 

When im creating i tend to have a logic X style layout

 

but im not a godless heathen so i also use this veiw

Just use our fav R2R medicine on v6.

 

I work without license, in demo period. Got tired of updating and activating... So, updating only. No limitations. Only "buyme" window popups after the startup, sometimes i wait for 5 sec to click "still evaluation", sometimes just drag this window out-of-the-screen, into the right lowercase corner. It is a "buy or not" decision license) if it is an option - why not? There is no protection at all

I don't usually read update notes. Does it have an option to link plugins on 2 channels yet?

Has had that option for some time now through FX Parameter Linking. It is now more easily done.
Using custom scripts/marcos, you can do some interesting things.

 

Do you need the default skin to make this visible?

 

No it works with all the personalized skins I have from v5, right click on the reafxs or js visualize/monitor tools that work with this feature you want to display, in the mixer, and choose either "show embedded UI in TCP" or in "MCP", you can't display the same fx in both at the same time.
Also actions with mouse are available - click with or without the usual modifiers - for editing many parameters of the concerned fx directly from the embedded view (ratio, threshold,make up gain for wide band comp, etc) . And when you copy for example JS spectrum analyzer through drag and drop in the mixer from one track to another, and that the original you copy had the embedded view activated, it remains so in the new version you copy on another track fx slot. Damn neat
However the practical "theme adjuster" script only works with the default skin V6.

My workflow is classic v4, but slightly color-modified. Slightly blue and grey, than standard brownish grey...
Will modify to andivax's config. And will try more new stuff soon
