I think clowns are scary by design, but the makeup did bring us Kiss and corpsepaint, so it's not all bad. I don't know where I'm going with this, but I'll just state that sexy clowns can't exist.

I saw a clown in full costume taking a dump on the emergency lane next to his car on the 101 Freeway in L.A. It's still etched on my eyeballs 30 years later.

 

I think King Crimson sang about this:

Elephants forgot, force-fed on stale chalk

Strongmen lost their hair, paybox collapsed
And the clowns dumped on roads
Gloves raced round the ring, stallions stampeded
Pandemonium seesaw
I ran for the door, ringmasters shouted

i really hate when ppl put their cats clothes on for different reasons but lately i often have a thought bout putting ours some clownsuits on ....for different reasons

Clowns, I know too many of them.

 

The origins of clowns is deep. I was reading an old book from the 1500's and in it they were talking about "clowwns" from the long lost and covered up in history kingdom of Tartaria. It's no surprise they are associated with terror and movies like Killer Clowns From Outer Space are not just stupid horror movies I used to love as a kid in the 80's, they're expressing something much more profound.
