Whenever I listen to music on Chrome and open Kontakt Standalone or within Ableton I notice the sound of Kontakt lowers. Sometimes it makes glitches when I play something in Kontakt.
My PC is quite good with efficient RAM with SSDs.

I know that I am doing something totally wrong but I don't know what it is.
Can anyone help me figure it out?

I think it might be your Windows sound card settings are not set up properly. Go to Windows sound card properties (can access is it from Windows mixer) and turn off dimming when your mic is turned on, or wherever you see "dim" just turn it off. While in there, turn off all the Windows sound processing fx just for kicks.

Thank you for your reply. I don't have my mic plugged in. I don't find any dim in Volume Mixer. My sound card works great with my DAW.
The volume lowers when I also open Youtube and listen to music and play a VST in my DAW simultaneously.
Then after a while my VST's volume lowers.

Sound - Settings - As default device

Ideally you should use Windows Sound applications as default device.
And use the Audient iD14 MKII only for the DAW !
    So there are no conflicts.

So I will need another pair of speakers with that option. Correct?

Hello @Akrovatis, yes you need "normal" boxes then.

The best would of course be something like this:
    Edifier - S530D -2.1 System - 145W RMS -black - optical input -Super sound
    www.ebay.de/itm/266257697453?hash=item3dfe320aad:g:g3sAAOSwobJkYPUC

    Hi-fi loudspeaker boxes
    - are optimised to sound as good and beautiful as possible.
    - They should produce a great sound in all rooms
    - and may also impress with their sound.
    - The focus is on music enjoyment

    Studio monitors
    - are optimised for a neutral sound
    - Audiophiles would call this "boring".
    - Music should be represented soberly and honestly
    - These models should bring out all the shortcomings and faults of the music recording.

Hi-fi speakers do not sound neutral. On the contrary: they deliberately colour the overall sound in order to convey a "pleasant" listening impression. With hi-fi speakers, the highs and lower mids as well as basses are more or less strongly boosted, the mids (upper and middle) are therefore usually not as present as they should be. But exactly the mids are very important for music production, because the main information of most instruments (and also the human voice) lies in this frequency range.

Just tested a similar setup with an Audient MkII, playing Kontakt standalone while watching a Youtube video in Chrome. The volume doesn't go lower and there are no crackles. Make sure that in Kontakt you are using the Audient ASIO driver, and that both your Windows Sound and Kontakt are set to the same sample rate.

I eventually figured it out. I selected playback device of windows to be analog 3/4 instead of 1/2 which is the DAW's input.
Thank you all for your advices.
