I am composing a song with Ez Keys and Real Guitar, and found the chords are not matched. I set the chord on Real Guitar as G9sus4 II, but I can't find it on Ez Keys. Here is the screenshot:
Hi Nothingness I Think G9 Sus4 is basically a G9 dominant chord with the 4th note so a G11 without the 3rd. So the Notes Are G C D F A The G9sus4 II in Real Guitar probably refers to the 2nd inversion on the guitar which would be the D note on top (bass note). Hope this helps. Cheers
Err, in the chord wheel of EZ Keys, I can see in the red row 'sus4' on the left, and '9' in the top row below 'details'. So it should be possible to select these.
If RealGuitar can output MIDI, Send the output of Real Guitar into the Input of EZkeys and record it. See what chord is recorded into EZKeys
Chords of guitars and keys will always sound a bit different. With keys you can play notes very close to eachother with guitars not (you can't play two notes on one string). So the question is, do they play the same notes or not?
I just had another look at the pics. The EZKeys' chord wheel shows G6, not G9, maybe that's the reason? Futhermore RealGuitar shows G9sus4 II, what if you switch it to I? And EZKeys shows a 1 with + and - left and right of it. What if you switch it to 2? Last not least, can you drag and drop the patterns in your DAW so you can see what notes they are playing and compare them?
Click "sus4" and above that, at the top part of the wheel you need to turn on the following intervals: 5, 7 (without maj), 9 and 11 (if you want bigger sounding chord, but that's optional). 3, 6 and 13 need to be turned off. And then, you can start changing inversions to find the best sounding one. I hope it helps
These plugs actually needs a little basic/traditional knowledge regarding chords and how they works - nice
