That second character looks nothing alike............
The pronunciation is different but the meaning of the character was never changed.
This is dragon in Japanese isn't it the same for Chinese ?

Yeah, I'm using RSS Widget on my phone and tablet to keep an eye on the feed. On Windoze, I'm using Feed Reader Widget.
I saw the Chinese (Japanese?) characters on both yesterday.

 

there are 3 dragon words in japanese
ryuu-りゅう in japanese input method:
龍= long-chinese dragon, or japanese dragon, with many claws and have a snake body,
竜= ryuu-japanese dragon, or dinosaurs, often with japanese spirits,
do ra gonnドラゴン= dragon-western dragon, can shooting fires or beams.

There is actually one more. A different pronunciation than ' ryuu ' is ' tatsu '.
