    Seriously, their synths are shieeeeeeet.
Well, Dreamsynth's maybe worth something, but the only upside for everything else is the price point, and even that much only concerns legit buyers and is being offset by DRM.

For us pirates, they are just simply not needed. There are better options of for each synth they "model".
I'll wait for Voltage Modular to give my last opinion, I expect it to fare better, but for now I would've been disappointed if I expected anything at all.

I've never used Cherry Audio products.
Are their synths really that bad?
How about the Roland Space Echo sim?

I kinda like the Memorymode, but I think the Falcon LAMM is better to my ear. How do you rate their synth line compared to Roland Cloud and Arturia ?

I think they're good synths for their price, but if you're looking for realism about what they're emulating... Well, can't argue a lot for what they ask.

I'll wait for the day somebody will make a proper 2600 emulation since Arturia is old af and the rest are meh (apart from Korg Odyssey), while I know Synapse will release someday soon a MemoryMoog emulation to set the thing once and for all.

We're lucky to have all these tools, as the name implies, "this is just a set of Cherries on top of our cakes".

Hmm a little bit of aliasing occurs when I play rapidly with the speed knob of the re201 plugin, very strange...

I have the Polymode, I was not expecting a specific "analog" sound as I don't believe in commercial adverts.
But what I can get out of it is interesting and musical.

I understand how frustrating can it be when you are waiting for a real synth to be truthfully emulated and it's not.
But honestly, wouldn't it be better not to believe one word of the adverts and just listen to the sound?

Also, until now, it's been proven that reproducing that analog vibe needs a lot of programming and a lot of CPU.
Which is logical if you take in account all the (semi) random variations that occurs in a real analog synthesiser.
Can we have U-He quality for the price and CPU consumption of Cherry Audio?

Never used Roland Cloud so can't say about this one. From Arturia I only tried to use Pigments and I didn't like its sound character. Judging by the sound demos, I don't like their other synths either. But they're at least characterful. Cherry Audio are bland.
If you're looking for Roland emus specifically, I'd unironically recommend Togu Audio Line and D16 Group. They feel the least unpleasant and dated to me.
Never used or cared for "the real things". Judging these things on their own merits.
    HOW DARE YOU, BLASPHEMER!!!

Don't let the price or the file size fool you:
They do have some real pearls that have nothing to worry from Arturia and/or Roland (among others).

I would even say the opposite: Considering the file size of most of their plugins and most of all, how they sound, I consider Cherry Audio programmers very talented.

They are the proper people to be called Cherry.
I'm playing with Stardust right now and, ooh. Ooh boy.
Let me put it that way: I haven't tried all of coloured delays. In fact, I've only tried some of the best ones.
And Stardust is the worst coloured delay I've ever tried. By a wiiiiiiiiiiiide margin.
If it was my girlfriend I would never leave her because it sucks so hard.
Man I wish I could use it to deep-clean my carpets.
The only fear I have with it is that it will bite me in the neck and turn me into one of its kind.
Well, this and falling below its event horizon.
Puns aside, no matter what I do or what sound I use it on, it gets all phasey with harsh high-mids and unpleasant metallic springiness. Yes I'm aware of switches for chorus and reverb, thanks. Reverb does nothing to the actual echo sound and chorus only makes things worse when turned on. Kinda like a masculine man.
Okay, I'm done with puns now, I promise.

    Backstory

Cherry Audio launched in 2018 and was assembled from an innovative group of developers, synthesizer designers, sound programmers, and musicians to turn a dream into reality. Our first product, Voltage Modular, was initially conceived in 2004 with the development of an innovative new alias-free analog modelling oscillator design. Over the years, the project has evolved and expanded into a thriving virtual modular platform supported by an expansive community of Module Designers.

With the launch of our later instruments, Cherry Audio has evolved to offer an extensive catalog of high-quality virtual instruments inspired by classic synthesizers with expanded features for even the most demanding modern productions. Our team works diligently to ensure that all of our products function intuitively, look amazing, and most importantly, sound fantastic! If you love synthesizers, synthesis, and the art of sonic experimentation, we believe you’ll be blown away by Cherry Audio instruments!

    Company
Cherry Audio was formed by a small group of industry veterans from the likes of Sonic Foundry, Cakewalk, Bias, Acoustica, and Keyboard Magazine. Cherry Audio is backed by a real company of industry professionals, and our products are built by programmers with decades of experience creating audio and DSP software.
