Both ThinkPad and MacBooks are a bit expensive here in Germany I figured that a cheap second hand ThinkPad would be good enough for my liveset.

I was thinking to get a X13 or a E14 with a 10th or 11th gen Intel, 16GB RAM and 512SSD, depending on what I find. Should be available for around 300€ more or less if I'm lucky.

Anybody has experience with this kind of setup? I run around 10 tracks in Ableton, stock FX as much as possible and a few VST synths/external FX and an external synth. The liveset did run on an 8th gen mobile i5 although it was starting to hit CPU limits. I'm interested if people think that the Thinkpad x13 or E14 are stable workhorses for the stage or not?

    Thanks in advance.

Don't have experience with them, but based on the spec's and price, this one seems like a good option, has the lowest DPC out of most Thinkpad's for the price.
