How would I go about emulating the intro to this record from 1979? Seems like flanged drum machine percussion but I can't manage it.
You mean that noise right at the start? That's probably just a pink noise with low cut, filter movement, a phaser and a very percussive amp env.
Yes the part before the real drums come in. That little bit of percussion at the end of the phrase makes me think it's some kind of drum machine doing it but I'll have a go with your idea, cheers!
