Hello ! I’m hoping someone can offer some advice.

i’m running m1 macbook pro with monterey 12.3. I have a million working pieces of software and plugs, many legit, many k’d.

i’ve always been careful not to update my OS, as I’ve heard there’s a significant risk of killing a bunch of your software.

my question is: if I change versions of monterey (ie. 12.3 to newest 12.7.5), will i run the same risk as if I upgraded to a different OS altogether? Or am I safe because I’m keeping monterey ?

basically i could really use RX 11’s new features for a project, but it requires 12.7 minimum. However I cannot risk having a bunch of plugins die at this time. Anyone had any similar experiences?! I’d be VERY thankful :)

No - an internal patch of MacOS in the main is fine. You don't generally get any significant changes unless you change the major version of MacOS.
