Hi guys,

I've got a new Windows 10 install, 22H2, it's a stripped down OS from NexusLiteOS, similar to Oprekin.
Now when installing Nu-gen software, I can't run any of their Keygens. I'm getting a Windows popup with a stop sign saying 'Error launching installer'. In the left corner of this popup I'm reading 'NSIS Error'.
I tried this with multiple Keygens for Nu-Gen

Does anyone know how to handle this? I installed the NexusLite OS 'without Defender' (so that can't be it).
But could there be some setting in the OS preventing me from running keygens, and of course, can I turn this off? I found below page on handling the NSIS error, but that doesn't work:

sometimes windows defender corrupts the kgen file. So restoring the file won't help.
1.Extract the original file again.
2.Deactivate windows defender and the firewall and add the file/folder as an exception.
3.Optional: install an antivirus software, therefore windows defender won't intervene AND deactivate your antivirus.

 

Thanks, but as I wrote, I don't have Defender on my stripped Win 10.
Edit: I downloaded again, all is good now.

 

Hey, i have the same problem since a couple of month. I use Avast One, but there seem nothing to be blocked.
I'm really dying on it. First i thought its a .Net Framework Problem, but i reinstalled all kinds of stuff and have still the Problems. Even without Avast One Active.

-IK Multimedia Keygen not opening
-Ample Sound Keygens not opening
-Plugin Alliance Keygen not opening
-and a few other things i cant remember right now.

on virtual machine, all is good. I use Win 11 on latest updates

I take this to mean you have tested the installs successfully on VM's that are NOT internet connected/"updated" and they work like they are supposed to... Running on win 11, internet connected with updates and whatever else running it fails. I think you just answered your own question.

Remedy: completely WIPE CLEAN the system from win11 with a wipe utility (easeus, minitool) - reinstall without A/v, firewall, win update, ms store, cortana, blah blah blah... Never connect to internet or if you must, make certain all telemetry to mickey soft and whoever else is squashed. Kill all auto updating as that is the cause of most anomalous behavior cropping up in previously working systems. Outpost Pro 9.3 is the best firewall if you need it that works on win 10 (dunno about win11) that has real time network monitoring. You can see at a glance what connections are being attempted and can squash them quickly and for good. Also if you must be on internet make certain all domains that installed apps would phone home to are blocked (hosts file). Apps that use specific ip addresses to phone home must be setup in firewall with no network access.

Finally i reinstalled Windows. Don't know was the Problem exactly was. But man,...always an absolute Horror Movie to do that

For People with the same Issues. My supposition is, that it maybe has something to do with Visual Studio, or some shit like that. I tried "Auto GPT" and had to install some other dodgy shit for this. somewhere there i suppose is the error origin. Think something fu**** my ".NET" or something.
Sorry, i'm no Pro in things like that, but as i said. i suppose its somewhere there

 

for avast, just right click on the icon in your system tray and choose "Avast Shields Control" > Disable for... and choose your time. If you're only doing one, 10 minutes works, or an hour to be safe in case you forget to turn it back on. You should get some kind of message from avast in a pop up, there's usually a link to either create an exception or to to the exceptions page, and you just allow/approve the keygen from the list as an exception. it should put back the deleted kengen and add it to the exceptions list. at least thats how it works for me and i do it all the time. best of luck
