cant load libraries

    just installed new k'd knt version 6.4.2 for mac from sister site and it installed great and all previous libraries work but any new ones i download dont load completely - it just says demo and i cant use them -

    any help would be greatly appreciated

    I only had that issue when i used the legit kontakt so I uninstall it and when I opened the cracked one It didn't show up as demo.

    @bongojones and as I said to you at AZ, this would imply that you haven't patched Kontakt properly, so it is acting like a legit Kontakt would.

    i used the patch.command that was included and input it in terminal - is there a better way?

    It was the plugins that you were told to codesign in Terminal.
    I have no idea about the patch.cmd, because I saw that people were having trouble, so I waited...

    that was what other people said to do? because i did not know how else to open it - sorry, kind of new here - should i uninstall again and then how do i use the patch command?

    Make sure you are not using kontakt player too since its the demo for kontakt all the libraries will be added as demo.

    Maybe just try a 6.3.2 of Kontakt for now.
    I don't know why people seem to be having trouble with that new one, sorry.
    I edited my message above; it was the plugin itself that people were saying to codesign.
    We don't know your OS version, but I imagine it's Catalina or Big Sur...
    This would explain a lot.

    Ah, cool. Well then definitely try a slightly earlier release. I'm on 6.3.2 still, but I have a library for 6.4.2 that I can't use yet!
    And the difference with that particular 6.4.2 is that it has to be patched.
    Other cracks haven't done it that way, and it's just a straight install.
    I'm thinking you may still have a few OS related problems on install of the 6.3.2 though, because Catalina.
    But at least then I will be able to help you, because we know that version works without hiccoughs, and then can just deal with SIP of Catalina.

    would you recommend uninstalling kontakt 6.4.2 completely or will it get overwritten when i install 6.3.2?

    Hi.
    It's good practice to do so. And particularly as that version was different to most in its patching or way of cracking, whatever.
    But I often don't bother and it's fine.
