A friend just got a few Soundtoys plugins from someone online, I contacted them an was told that the price included the ilok fee, I understood this procedure but always got a code even from a seller on other sites...this code is normally added to your Soundtoys account as a upgrade option later.

my friend said that when she purchased the plugins she got emails from ilok confirming she had transfer of ownership..so it sounds legit but im confused about it, anyone know if its ok to buy Soundtoys plugs privately with out issues?

OK so if I got a soundtoys plug a month ago, an email from ilok saying it was transferred to me and its in my ilok now then why cant I see it on my soundtoys account? not legit?

f you purchased a Soundtoys license second-hand from an unauthorized seller and are not seeing the license on your Soundtoys account, please contact us and provide the following information and we will do our best to transfer the license registration for you:

1. iLok user ID of the seller
2. Email address of the seller
3. Name of the seller
4. Your email address and iLok user ID
5. The 10-digit license code (if you have it)

 

so you guys are indeed on these sites, no wonder soundtoys is not ----K'ed and everyone else is lol!
