What are the differences between C Major and C Minor?

    The key of C Major consists of these notes: C, D, E, F, G, A and B.

    The key of C Harmonic Minor consists of these notes: C, D, E-flat, F, G, A-flat and B.

The key of C Melodic Minor consists of these notes: C, B-flat, A-flat, G, F, E-flat and D. However, when played ascending as a scale, the sixth (A-flat) and seventh (B-flat) notes/degrees would be sharped, leaving us with B and A. On the way back down they are restored to A-flat and B-flat.

What is the primary difference between a major scale and a minor scale?

The primary difference between a major and minor scale is in the positioning of the tones and semitones that make up the scale. Both scales have eight notes. In the standard harmonic minor scale, the semitones occur between the 2nd and 3rd notes of the scale, whilst in the major scale, the semitones occur between the 3rd and 4th notes, and the 7th and 8th notes.

It's a little confusing at first I know but think of it as you always using your ears and the music theory is the undreneath level
Once get fluent with theory it just like when you speak to someone ,you think of the idea and your subconscious does rest .
Like I don't have to think
    I,am,going,to,the,store,
    I just think store
    And I'll speak to you
    Hey wanna go store?
    Or
I am going to store or
I have to get some eggs or
I am stopping by the shop
    Etc.
Music in s same way you always wanna use your ears but at same time your developing your ears with excersise and study
For example before I ever learned music theory
3 note triads where as detail as I could hear .
when I heard a 4 note chord it sounded wobbly and fuzzy to me ears , then after training and learning theorytfor years i can hear 12 note chords and they not fuzzy or wobbly .
It's a journey but as time goes on you keep ending up in a level you couldn't even imagine yet before you started

Here is a stepwise motion of V to I repeating chords

    Take C major Key
First we want the Amin7 Aceg and C6 chord Cega
This way our I chord is major or relative minor
Next we want same thing for the dominant tense chord that its G7 gbdf and also E7 eg#bd the major and relative minor
    We CaN use bdim7 bdfg#
This diminished 7th chord is bdfg# this means
    A#7 rootless flat9th
    C#7 rootless flat9th
    E7 rootless flat9th
    GUITAR rootless flat9th

    Now we're our 2 chords C6 Cega bdim7 bdfg#

Now here is our step wise motion
    Bdfg#
    Cega
    Dfg#b
    Egac
    Fg#bd
    Gace
    G#bdf
    Aceg
    Bdfg#

What is the significance of such a movement?
It means any Melody or scale movement in key of c major , a minor does not have to get just single note anymore you can move chords in your Melody .
