Hi All

Anyone know if it's possible to install 5.6 but keep 5.5 too?

I'd like to see if 5.6 fixes the GUI issues I have, but not lose the benefits of 5.5

I'm finding that when I use Kontakt in Ableton (not tried other DAWs yet), the GUI keeps disappearing.
So, I'll be using the Kontakt keyboard or tweaking a knob and then suddenly, the GUI vanishes and I'm looking at the main Ableton screen again. It happens all the time!
(so if anyone has ideas to fix that, please let me know!)

In theory you can have multiple Kontakt installations, but most of the time (in my experience and many others I read on interwebz) it will drive you and your PC crazy, esp cracked ones... I wouldn't recommend it, it can also f up all your native licenses. However I managed to get one legit and one cracked (for cracked libs) working on the same system... Maybe you should try this if you cant make this issue go away, but dont do it right now

 

in ableton preferences under look/feel at the bottom check to make sure you have auto-hide plugin windows turned off
