i have omnisphere 2.0 and i downloaded the Spectrasonics Omnisphere 2.1.0e Update ONLY + Library UPDATE

can i update directly or i need to get some earlier updates first?

 

Yes, you can update. As long as you have any version of Omnisphere 2.

You need only install the latest updates.

Make sure you install all of the latest updates:

1. Omnisphere Software Update Win 2.5.0d
2. Omnisphere Soundsource Library Update 2.5.0c
3. Omnisphere Patch Library Update 2.5.1c
4. Bob Moog Tribute Library Update 1.4.0c (optional)

 

the lastest i can get is the Omnisphere Software Update v2.4.1d, the only thing i want is to be able to add 3rd party libraries

Dont know where you are getting your updates....but ALL that were given to you are available on Sister Site....jus sayin

I can confirm that the answer given by Majestic is absolutely correct. As a bonus there is a clear and precise list of what should be installed besides software update to avoid any problems. Also installing the latest updates will surely facilitate adding 3rd party libraries, which may have different requirements.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask.. It is really pointless to disregard the answer, though.

 

If it's a compatibility issue, then I understand, as I've heard of users remaining at 2.4.x because of 2.5.0d causing system issues. Otherwise, you should just upgrade to the latest, which as of right now would be 2.5.0d.
In any case, find the 2.4.1d update on the sister site, and all of the corresponding, necessary, adjacent updates for it, and install. Boom.
