First, I like the track, the compostition.

I can hear some noise and clackle from 0:09 to 0:2x.

But most of all, it way too loud. The second part, starting at 0:26 has -3,6 LUFS. Highscore!

My suggestion would be, lower the LUFS by 10, upload a 320kbps mp3 and let's listen again.

What's that slithering lfo shimmer noise happening after every snare hit like a reverse?
sounds cool on adam a77xs tho dude, just pretty squashed, maybe try get more headroom in the mix before you master.

First, No Avenger and lukeboon123.are correct (in my opinion.) The thing that kind of stuck out to me is something that I find myself doing (still, after all these yrs,) which is loading up a shit-ton of snippets, stabs, licks, etc., and, although they all fit nicely, they are all trying to cram themselves into the same frequency range, which is what your upper-mids/lower-highs kind of sound like they are doing.
Just because a frequency range isn't phasing or dominating a mix as far as dbs, doesn't mean that, from purely an arrangement standpoint, the area isn't too cluttered. Another thing, that has nothing to do with the mix, is that the pre-drop (0:24-0:27,) kind of fades at the end instead of rising with a fast cut (drop,) which lessens the impact. I'm not saying it needs some massive EDM Drop From Hell, but I think it would benefit from a tighter pre-drop/drop. Other than that, although it's not my prefered listening, I like the ideas behind it.
    Just my two-cents.....
(Also, as No Avenger mentioned, the LUF's are ridiculous. My advice? Make very good friends with Mastering The Mix's Levels plugin.)

Agree with all the positive feedback thus far.

    1. Spacing of tracks (foward/back/left/right/both sides as needed)
    2. Spatial effects (dry/short/med/long- delay/verb or both)
    3. Tracks that are already loud sounding should be pulled back & processed as needed.

When you try mixing again, with all track effect off, set all track levels so they are peaking around -6db (should be just touching the orange of VU meter in most DAWs. Balance from there leaving the loudest at -6db and then start applying processing. Rebalance & watch headroom at master or 2bus. Are you peaking (slammimg 0db)?

You will have to develop your own workflow based on common techniques no matter what anyone tells you. (wlak before you run).

    Happy tracking...

..lowering LUFS by 10 ?:woot: Man, this is dubstep, not the moonlight sonata. The track is too loud indeed but lowering loudness by at most 5db should hit the sweetspot preferably

i like the track but its so loud, my meters jump out the building :woot:

how did you get to this levels ?
    i guess...

probably first step is "gain staging", a basic, but very much needed skill.
thats easy and fast to learn, just search on youtube. (add your DAW to search)
    btw whats your daw?

Man, send me 5 separate stems of this track : bass (or sub bass) or sub bass +wobble, drums without kick and snare, kick , snare , and all the rest. I will reupload the track here with my mix so we can all speak about it.

They're almost the same here, since more verb - more "back" or more "distant".

Also, most things in this track (esp. the drums) are too wide.

A Dubstep track with -14 LUFS is just good for the Bob Katz Gallery. I am totally with you. It is toooooooo much here but he has a lot of audients, likes and comments and imho not faked. This kind of music (which i love) has to be loud.

Yes,I listen very loud in second part. And some noise when music down. I think this happeng because u compress very much.Maybe u must down Trheshold and radio. ( Sorry im speack spanish , i try u help)

    Saludos!
    Best regards!

My trick and many others in sure that I think still works is set the loudest elements first (ie kick and snare) and mix down. so I pop the bass in so it's just under the kick but close as possible to meeting the low end. then turn up an element to listen to and evaluate and work on. then push it back into the mix. It's amazing how far down you can sometimes push things where they are still there but sat into he mix. Keeping the kick and snare as loudest elements I can then resist the urge to go louder - they are my wall and help me to keep punch and dynamics. you can then always raise levels of things a bit if needed but never touch the loudest elements. A mix bus compressor can be placed on if desired after kick , bass and snare are up as it will let you work with the compression.

then spin it round like a revolving belt going back, adding in EQ, compression to each element (including kick and snare) as needed, maintaining the original volumes to a certain degree but massaging the mix together. that method seems to be what I try to work with, after a while you can relax but that sort of stays in the way you work. I try then to do different things occasionally to spice up the workflow and keep ideas fresh and inspiring.
