Can A DAW Be Cracked To Use Windows 7?

    you need to get your hands on the files inside the setup. Sometimes installers check OS requirements, this can by bypassed and then the the program can be executed if it works on windows 7.

    For example Ableton wrote they do no longer support below windows 10 some build, therefore no windows 7. It is just a way that they can get rid of problems and make the life for the support easier.
    But it was still possible to install Ableton 11 on windows 8.1, 7 and 8 and those windows 10 build below the builds Ableton wrote down.

    Ableton 11 worked even better than 10 on windows 8.1 for me. :rofl:(11.0.12 vs 10.1.42)

    The requirements by the developers just give the best experience, but it doesnt mean that you can install it and use it.

    For unpacking the installers there are tools. Depends installer toolkit used.
    uniextract can tell you which one is used and give hints what to install to unpack it - if it doesnt has a tool in its tool selection.

    Ableton 11 version on win 7 and on win 8.1 works well, the only problem I encountered on win 7 last year, some sites required security certificates and I could not use any of the sites, as it turned out dummies from Microshit did not update the certificates on win 7 had to download an automatic certificate installer and everything worked.
