the company was acquired by apple in february, they didn't go out of business because of bad management.

They have been Quite over 10yrs now , when they first started they were very good and interesting stuff coming out ! But then Wham!! the recession set in and yes Apple has made them a very appealing offer, so again soon see some more Mac Goodies on the Horizon

If AppleInsider is right on their leak, it seems that Camel design/code/technology may already been implemented in GarageBand for a new update release

Obviously the bigger splash will be on Logic for sure.

So, yeah, they are doing good and got a decent chunk of money for sure.

If Apple implements Camel Audio tech into 'Garbage Band' but not Logic X, they are FOOOOOOOLS. Garbage Band is amateur.

Sorry to those that use it, but it is really a dumbed down version of more feature rich and professional grade DAWs. It is not a pro-grade DAW.

First, there is nothing related to piracy : Camel Audio sold their technology big bucks to Apple. That's all.
Second, Apple may implement CA tech in their products...or not.
Apple bought a lot of things (like Google). But sometimes, they just store it. They don't even resell, because they have too much money to care about
In fact, Apple/Google/... act just like rich childs : they buy whatever they want, do whatever they want with it, without any responsability to assume. They are "rich kids" not giving a f*ck about anything.

It remembers me some song

    Sad, troubled world!
NO ONE said thanks to Camel Audio for all the goodies they brought us.
NO One seems to remember dear Tim Conrardy of the team, who passed away on February 2009.
I've bought some of their products and was very satisfied also with the customer service.
Looks like folks who never bought any stuff from them come here to just rant.

I don't know man. Legacy and memory apart, the best and most effective way to thank a company for their work is giving them your hard earned money.
And since they didn't go out of business but have been taken over by apple it seems like many people gave them lots and lots of their appreciation.

Plus, it was their decision to sell the company and shut down the business to their customers, despite the amount of "appreciation" they recieved. It's not that they don't exist anymore, they do, but they chose not to do business with you anymore.
I wouldn't yearn for a company that doesn't even put out a press release, thanking all customers for their loyal support. From my perspective, it's really a kick in the teeth for all of you who trusted those people with your money.

not a lot came from camel after conrardy passed away. it's clear that he was the primary creative force. the company just sort of floundered without him. and they did post a press release of sorts on their website thanking all of their customers which remained online for several months after the apple buyout.

More than that, what Tim Conrardy would have thought about this situation if he still alive?
Camel Audio just made business, there was no gratefulness to their customers. Just close and run.
Now i wonder how their plugs will work on Windows 10...

*yes* Yes, that's true for me too!
Seems like Tim Conrardy was a VIP in the Camel Audio TEAM.
Anyway time passes, things change...we should appreciate what has been.
I definitely thank Tim & Camel Audio for all their help and tools.
