hello everyone! someone is using this version of V.R. without problems?

 

Im not sure which one I'm using but there are two releases by VR and I'm using the one that has the Crush Shaper update, probably 2.1.0 (No distortion shaper though).

It was long time ago (more than a year i guess). Yeah no problem whatsover, why ?

 

if you are using it just for volume shaping and sidechain, i have a light and easy to use alternative suggestion : devious machine duck

 

@Stevie Dude yes, you are using version 2.1.0.. i ask to hear if anyone had any problems! some previous versions that i had tried were giving problems! and then when i install a new plugin I like to know how those who have installed it for some time are! if they have problems, time bomb, etc..

 

no troubles with the 2.1.0 VR version on my side (W10)

you can check UPAWG if you are wondering any known timebomb in most (90%) of the releases you can find at sisters. If timebomb has been reported for certain release, they will list it there. At least that is how I do it.

turns out googling UPAWG returns with porn results (if you have your Safe Search Off).

@ArticStorm they still have the individual plugins if you want: https://www.cableguys.com/products.html however V.R. did not release them individually, but "only" as a bundle. in the version following that of V.R. added this: https://www.cableguys.com/driveshaper.html

 

Yeah, it's actually a lot of plugins in one, I never used combined effect other than presets. Mostly the filters for some rhythmic effect, it's cool and fast. Plus multiband option always comes in handy if you just want certain part to move.

If you haven't check Half-Time, you probably should, ez counter melody/rhythm. It useful when your 1st melodic part/rhythm/chord lack of pulse.

 

ok.. for me, it is not a problem to click once on the effect I want "or combine effects like effectrix" shaperbox is great.

 

I found a 'symlink-no.install' of their stuff from 2018-2020 on the friendly Russian Tracker.
I have never used these before but wanted to see about them...

Strange: It seems I can open VolumeShaper3 & VolumeShaper4 as individual plugs and not inside ShaperBox.
Maybe it is due to the package I got - it has the individual VST2 DLL files.

Edit - oh yeah - my mistake- This package is only up to version 4, so that explains it.
