Your speakers are active, which means they have an amp inside them already... if you hook it to another amp, you will fry powered speakers and possibly your amp! DO NOT DO THAT!

    hi

    thank you for the info.

I understand now...but the problem is that I do not use a mixing board where I can change the volume.
When connecting it to the sound card...it is to loud... that's why I wanted to use a amplifier control the level of the volume.

There should be a virtual volume control on whatever device you are using, Media player, DAW, etc. plus your computer has volume controls for line outs and headphone outs. Access through computer control panel--`hardware and sound, or there should be a little icon on your task bar. I wouldn't wire around the internal amp on a powered monitor unless there was something wrong with it.

The above posters are correct, you will blow them up if you hook computer to amplifier to active monitors.

Use the windows volume control or the DAW's main output volume control.
I can see the issue if the DAW's main output has to be set very low to not be too loud through the active monitors, you may not want to have it set so low, or maybe even low it is too loud.

In that case you will need to buy a little dj mixer and go from computer to mixer to active monitors.

Please take the advice given, as if you don't, you WILL damage the speakers.

yep i just have 2 active monitors straight out from sound card, use their volume or windows volume to turn it down. passive setups suck in my opinion anyway. u need a diff cable, 3.5mm to rca..like this one.

    thats what it looks like.

:dancing: Only if you can(or you know how and it's possible) to bypass the amplifier in each speaker :dancing:

Measuring the amp and then doing a passive design is not too hard if you have the tools, anyway you need a crossover in the speakers!

    Here some instruction:

    @ goranmax
did you work it out yet? if so, how?

and i can see how youre complaining bout in your own way when these people are just trying to get you setup on your speakers.

if you're not just another human piece of trash and not a troll, you should pick one of these fair options that these people offered to you graciously.

don't hide, and post back again and let us know if you've encountered any problems throughout the process.
