Hi there, i owned a used maschine mk2. Serials were invalid and had to send it back. Also dealing with NI Customer support back then wasnt helpfull at all. I still want a maschine either the mk 1 or 2. I noticed alot of r2r releases, so my question arise: would it be wise to buy a maschine without software? This way its cheaper for me and i dont have to deal with NI Support again. Secondly, would the Select package works with the r2r. I dont really understand because my guess is that both the maschine software and select bundle is tied to the hardware? So basically in a nutshell; can I make use of a 2nd hand maschine without any regristration included and make use of the full functionality which maschine has to offer, with included plugins, such as the new drum synth, prims, without any problems?

The problem with NI stuff is when you mix legit and non legit stuff it can be an absolute pain in the ass!

 

I would't say that... The Service Center reports the non legit stuff as unlicensed and offers the option to input a serial number and pretty much that's it. No nags, no issues. The legit software updates with no problems via the same Service Center.

 

@jayxflash I've definitely had issues with legit, non legit libraries in Kontakt no matter how many times I cleared my registries until I reinstalled everything. Generally speaking, I prefer to use k'ed versions of the stuff I own because it doesn't usually seem to have those issues.

totally works.. I picked up a used mk1 while back for cheap...with no software
works with all maschine releases you can find in sister site..

great because the software is not hardware dependent... that's the major stupidity of these companies..
make it more difficult for those who are trying to be legit... for all the hassle and expense who would bother ?
if they knew better

Ok thanks for the answer. But which release does contain the komplete select bundle? Which contains plugins like monark, prism, massive, drum -lab etc?

 

e.g. drum synth

 

Drum lab is available as a Kontakt library.
Drum synth is exclusive to Maschine and is available with any of the Maschine 2.0+ releases.

Monark and Prism are Reaktor ensembles.
