Good morning all,
I want to equip myself with an AKG k702 at the output of my Steinberg UR824 sound card (75mW at 40 ohm, information found on a forum but nothing at Steinberg), it's a powered usb2 sound card, only I'm afraid that the power required is too low to CORRECTLY honor this helmet ^^ … I chose this helmet among the models compatible with the NX technology of waves, it seems the best appropriate value for money (no big financial means).
I called Thomann, the salesman I had trouble understanding told me that up to 80 ohms any headphones would do, he seemed in a hurry to hang up his phone. After some research the question remains open because there are a few more parameters to take into account. The more I try to inform myself the more I flounder.

I also looked at the amplifier track it's 3 times the price of headphones
Can you guide me??

high impedance headphones in lower impedance interface means lower result volume,
AKG K702 are comfortable headphones, not bad choice imo

To illustrate this, it makes sense to compare the DT 770 PRO (80 Ohm) and DT 990 Edition (600 Ohm) headphones in a simple calculation example. If you connect both models to the same smartphone, you can observe that the resulting power (P) differs significantly. For simplification, 1 volt was assumed for the output voltage at the jack connector of the smartphone.

The power can be calculated as follows:
DT 770 PRO: P = (1 V)2/80 Ω = 12.5 mW
DT 990 Edition: P = (1 V)2/600 Ω = 1.6 mW

The results show that the DT 770 PRO with lower impedance can deliver almost eight times more power P when connected to the same smartphone, which in turn leads to a higher volume. In order to achieve the same output with the 990 Edition, the voltage (volts) of the playback device would have to be increased, which is not easily possible with mobile playback devices. An amplifier can help here.

You know that stupid cable from AKG is like $50, right? It's not that big of a deal though, because they are always on terminal backorder for months anyway. Sign up on Head-fi and learn how to make much nicer ones.

The BeyerDynamics at 250ohms are great, but a headphones amp is really recommended for them. Check out the 80 ohm 770s that Beat16 linked, if you are open to using Closed-Back cans.
