Anyone know a modality to convert in bulk fxp presets(vst format) to aupreset(Logic-Apple format)?

There's a command line app for that by Loomer (used in Terminal)

There are some complicated scripts for this but if your English is an issue its out of the question.

Tried with Sylenth presets. My line in Terminal: ./fxp2aupreset.app/Contents/MacOS/fxp2aupreset ~/vstpresets/ aumu syl1 LNDG sylenth1-data but bad generated aupresets. Anyway zenks.

yeah noise,maker, unfortunately I think this can end up being a hopeless cause, it sucks, I agree!

Coming from mostly having used Logic myself, I still use AU mostly in Ableton even though I know that AU's are usually just wrapped VST's, I just got used to the file management etc.... I wouldn't mind something that went the OTHER way!

 

Yes, been looking for info a fair bit myself on this one.

I think it would be a great idea if we start putting together a repository of .aupresets to share amongst ourselves. I have been exporting from Clariphonic AU in Logic X tonight and the .aupresets work perfectly in Ableton 9. I made a preset folder in the user library for AU and then inside I have the sub-headings for all the manufacturers.

If we all start uploading factory or hardcoded presets from our plugs we wouldn't need to run an app to convert and all of us can benefit.
