    iSK Starlight sounds really really good for the price.
    Samson CL7 and Behringer B2 Pro too.

    If you are on a budget, a mic that has a variable pattern and a pad may be more versatile. I own a Rode NT2-A. It is a workhorse for me because it has both, but not my "go-to" for vocals-though it does that OK, too. (small detail: I really like the shock mount/wind screen assembly) My experience with AKG over the years has been good, but I don't have hands on or ears on experience with the others.

    If you are into found sound, field recordings, DIY, etc - check out the Primo EM172 capsules. They are pretty awesome.
