From 1994. The roughly 5 minute intro is in German, but the rest of the video is in English with German subtitles.

Nice! Eno is awesome. Too bad that most people on this site probably don't even know who he is. Ugh...modern living. :(

    OK.....

Oh, BTW, I think this year he comes to a festival invited by someone you really know.

If you get a chance, go. He is an exceptional speaker.

We need to change that. Here's some more:

Lecture in Moscow, 2011 (via http://tumblr.austinkleon.com/post/29280342143)

This is another interesting bit from a lecture in Rio. Eno about Generative Music and Copyright:

Sadly he doesn't go on to elaborate on what he thinks should still be copyrighted. I'd love to hear his reasoning.

Agreed! Quite captivating. I've contemplated some of these very same ideas at one time or other. Ties into some debates we've been having here concerning the evolution of music. Thanks man.

    You want more?

Here's a little lecture by Will Wright & Brian Eno about the 'Generative' in music, art, and games.

For sure. Eno is amazing in that he makes you really see and feel all the possibilities of art and music. Very inspiring stuff.

    Two more on Eno:

First one is a very ambitious documentary from around 89/90. Some nice footage of Eno's light installations.

And a more recent one by the BBC for their Arena format. I never realized the influence his Roman Catholic upbringing had on Eno's work until watching it. Not overarching, but you can hear it in fragments once you know it.

That's from the cover of Botty-celli Auspex. Completely obscure zine from the 80s.
