I have had the opportunity to test several reverb plugins for a some time now and i have to say Breverb 2 stands out from the rest of the crowd.
Quite simply,if you want your drums to sound more real,present,3d or whatever the word,Breverb can help you achieve that.
It honestly gives your instruments a soul that is lacking in reverb plugins.
Yes,there are companies that make amazing reverbs like valhalla and exponential audio but when you want that something special, the feel as if your drum kit was recorded in a 80s studio room, theres nothing like it.
It really pushes your sound to the next level.
These guys at Overloud really know what they are doing.
What a beast of a plugin, very light on cpu and for 150$ its a steal.

What is your favourite Reverb plugin and why?

Then you never tried Aether or other 2c audio plugins. Breverb isn't bad, but can't beat Aether imho.

Totally agree, it's simple, versatile and sounds amazing. Their SpringAge is a masterpiece too, by far the best spring reverb plugin I've used.
I still prefer the sound of the one from the Uhbik bundle though.

Former breverb user here. Now I use ReLab LX480 Complete. I also like Hofa IQ-Reverb a lot. Fog Convolver is also cool.

Haven't tried Braverb, but I like most Relab and Lexicon bundle, never dug valhalla, despite all the forums raving about it.

It all comes down to personal taste.
Personally I prefer Lexicon PCM and Valhalla.

Lexicon is my choice since ages.
But I think that any "todays" reverb plug can give You what You need if You get familiar with the controls

    Glad You found Yours!

gents, when you state X is better than Y , please justify WHY if possible.

for instance, i can tell the SPL Transient Designer by UAD sounds much better than the native one by Plugin Alliance, and i have a lot of valid arguments to justify that. (will not do it, because we are in a reverb thread)

for the reverb of my personal choice that will be the UAD EMT140, (maybe because it was already there and i have paid for it and didn't bother using others..) but i can't tell if and why it sounds better than others.

I don't get this thing with "cubase user" :) You can be whatever you like. What's the difference if you Reaper user!
Valhalla, Lexicon, 2C Audio, Space designer, Reverberate, pick any... they are all so good.

I used to use Breverb2. Then I switched to the Native Instruments RC24 and RC48. Still wasn't satisfied. Tried the ReLab LX480 and loved it. As for convolution, any convolver that can load IR's will do, really. Pick one you like to work with and that has a good default library. They can be used for creative effects too (like with Fog Convolver and also IQ-Reverb).

    As for why I like ReLab's LX480:
-Not too heavy on CPU, runs reliably
    -Accurate Lexicon clone, great tone
    -Deep parameters, good preset management
-Allows you to A/B individual parameters easily
    -Good looking and useful GUI
-"Feels" like a hardware unit in that it adds "3D" depth to a channel

    Why I like Hofa's IQ-Reverb:
-Tons of control over an impulse
    -Great default IR library
    -Capable of cool reverse effects
-Good looking and useful scalable GUI
-Doesnt use a ton of CPU and runs well

A lot of this is personal preference. But I've found that these reverbs compliment the types of tones I find myself using a lot. Give them a go if you feel like it. Just find one or two that really work well for you and have a workflow that you like. :)

Even though I am an unrepentant "Jazz" pianist and lover of the music, I've always admired plenty of RnB musicians, such as the great Daryl Hall. Shit, good music is simply that, "good music"! 'Nuff said... As for this "reverb" discussion. It comes down to what your own ears tell you. After that, it's ultimately up to the listener. And, guess what? There's not a damn thing we can do about it, short of remixing the whole piece. <lol> Just my three cents...

You saved this topic from being extremely boring,
what do u think of breeze - B2 - Aether?

    I went from fl studio stock -> breverb ->breverb2 ->lexicon -> 2caudio
only tasted IRs with the latest reverberate but wasn't impressed because of the cpu trade off and bad usability
