    Can you guys advise on a nice brass library (Kontakt format) mainly for pop/rock/funk purpose, thanks in advance.
    What do you guys use when in need of a brass section for your production?

    A library dedicated to pop rock funk is "Fable Sounds Broadway Big Band" but it is very difficult to get a "good" sound (natural).

    Personnaly, i prefer "Sample Modeling" Instruments but they are not kontakt libraries, they are plugins.

    There is a way u can use some of those libraries that i mention before (above)

    and

    use some effects on them so by that u will get close to what u want

    PS : it's better to use Natural brass library then try to add effect (by that u will get FULL Control On your sounds)
    PS : any library u will found that for POP ROCK FUNK ( you will notice the low quality if u compare it with Spitfire Library OR best service)( The quality is everything ) :mates:

    Thanks guys for your feedback.

    @Mr_Amine:
    I will try what you suggest, right now I have the Cinebrass Core library which sounds very good... in a classical setup. It remains to be seen if it's possible to use it in a pop/funk context.

    @LordFunky:
    Which modeling plugins are you using for brass section?
    BTW I heard about the Fable library but I thought that it's a bit too heavy (around 90 GB if I'm not mistaken).

    Why not Mojo Horns from Vir2 ?
    they are quite synthetic. However there are a lot of articulations and i think it could fit for Pop-Rock productions

    From Samples Modeling i use The Saxophones, The Trumpet.

    You can try Session Horns from NI too.

    All Spitfire are perfect for classical or cinematic but very hard to use in a pop rock songs (staccato are too much dedicated to orchestra)

    Native instruments session horns is perfect for funk/pop but you can't get solo instruments, you have to have at least 2 instruments playing together. You get a great sound out of the box with no effort. For solo instruments, +1 for sample modeling instruments, the level of expressiveness is amazing but they do sound a bit unnatural. Drowning them in convolution reverb, a bit of tape saturation and EQ can get you closer to a more realistic sound
