Where can I find instruments/soundfonts/kontakt librarys which contain some good patches for these typicall Hip Hop Brasses and Horns. Im sure most of you know what I mean.

Best would be something for free (and legal!)

If anybody knows something, please share. I searched for good sounds a while now, but I just cant find something that work.

 

i think miroslav philharmonik is a common one but ive heard everything from old samples to the cheesiest synth brass to high quality stuff like hollywood brass and it all works in context

DSK Brass

 

Studio Linked VST have perfect Brass sounds for Hip Hop! Philharmonik is nice, but not for Hip Hop.
I have tried many different Brass libraries, some are fantastic and very realistic. DSK, Mr Trumpet, Session Horns, Project Sam, Epic Horns, Jr Real Brass, Mojo ....and so on.
But none are better for Hip Hop then Studio Linked VST, IMO.
If first of all u don't want all those different articulations/ keyswitches. And second you want Brass that sounds like the Brass used in most Hip Hop tracks........StudioLinked is the way to go.

 

Already knew FireFace Music, some great Loops. But not what I searched know...

I will check out the other stuff, I already knew DSK's Brass, DSK has some cool instruments but the brass isnt very HipHop like...

Still StudiolinkedVST is expensive... I dont wanna complain, they make the prices and I respect that. I just dont have 100 bucks right now for an instrument...

One soundfont for hip-hop brass i personally reccommend for you is 'Bolland Brass' which has been talked about :D

 

there are a ton of soundfonts with brass that is good for hip hop.

also you can't go wrong with miroslav. it's dirt cheap $149 (or *cough* free *cough*). also IK is always having some crazy sale.

 

Would you mind giving me the sources of these soundfonts? Its always better to be a bit carefully, even if somebody dont want to give you links to stuff which isnt completly free/easy to use that can happen (also happend phloopy)

Didn't like hollywood brass or studiolinked vst. I use nexus 2, Hypersonic 2, and a Korg Kronos to create huge brass for trap (real trap not house) and Hip Hop. Studiolinked is so Bad lol and all of the Kontakt Brass sounds like its for scoring a film.

anwyays i've had these soundfonts for years. just collected randomly over the years either from the internet or from fellow producers. they can be found all over the place for free.
