Hello people. I bought a used Korg Poly 800 MK2 but there were no sounds on it.
The guy who sent it to me removed the batteries and i guess it lost the settings.
Is there any wav that i can plug a jack and load the sounds to the synth, or on the 800 MK2 this is only possible through a midi cable?
I've downloaded a wav file but had no success (tried like 50 times with different volume settings, stereo, mono, same results).

    Thanks in advance!

    Try a test!

Program a few patches, ones you can definitely recognize as yours.
Use the computer as a tape recorder and export the patches.
Turn off poly 800, make certain after turning it back on the patches are gone.
Try to reload your own patches.

If you can get that to work, you should be able to see the difference between the downloaded .wav and your own, and maybe work from there? (as far as levels to and from the machine, stereo, mono, etc)

There is a CR-2032 lithium battery soldered to the motherboard that holds the patch data info when unit is turned off. Either find a cr-2032 with pre-attached solder legs or replace with a button battery holder. Since he original battery in my EX-800 lasted 25 years I just replaced it with a larger 3 volt Lithium button battery thinking I'll probably be dead by the time by the time it craps out.
