At the risk of being called elitist or the like, I will still question the interest and relevance of all these almost 8 pages plastered with (in my opinion) irrelevant uploads. It destroys the overview of the important and interesting things people want to share when you have to sit and look through several pages to find them.
Maybe it would be an idea if the uploader of these strange releases packaged them in bundles of eg 10 libraries with the option to download the individual libraries you might be interested in.
In this way, they won't seem like a carpet bombing of the page, but will get the space I think they should have.

this went on with New Beard, DJ OneTruth, Reason Packs, and a few other examples of sample releases, too. Maybe it is just easier to filter them?

I almost suspect the makers of this kind of packs actually know they will suck for people to see on websites and torrent trackers. A flood. Sometimes they even name stuff with common search terms as the titles, so they appear for completely unrelated search efforts. They obviously know a little about scene rules, homemade compilations, and things like releasers who use automated scripts to post them all with, and who wouldn't do all the work to upload them otherwise. But one thing they all have in common, is that they often suck. They are like spam. Even worse, that "sample label" even admits on their website they are not all royalty free samples and are the results of crate-digging other's material. They say they are just charging for the service of looking for them. lol, okay.

At no time do I want to get into a discussion, I understand that so many posts about the same thing are a nuisance. I would also prefer "packs", just like in other things that are posted I would prefer to see it another way. But, I thank the one who shares it, uploads it and redistributes it for all of us who have the option to download it or not.

 

True words indeed @ZUK but I guess you can agree to the fact that the way all these libs are shared is rather inappropriate?

 

They aren't anything I'm interested in, and they honestly DO get in my way of seeing what is important to me, but what is important to me is different from what is important for you and for someone else. I'm sure someone out there likes fart libraries (I think I know who, but I'll spare them the embarrassment ). Even those are relevant... to someone.

I just try and ignore the blast of sample packs. It would be great if we could filter out stuff from the main page a bit easier (I mean actually block certain categories, rather than pick one category to list), and without using RSS, but it's a small inconvenience for me.

 

I would just like to say that I really dig all of the cover art for all these. Does anyone know where they are getting g these or are they creating them custom?

It would be no such big problem, if one could turn the already existing filter options on the sistersite into inverse ones.
That way we could not only search for stuff *including* our search term or category, but *excluding* specific attributes, like samples or the like.

Well . . . more organizing samples await!

 

... but ... we can get the royality-free samples everywhere on 100 boards and they are mostly all shit. My Sample Lib is now about 25 years old collecting samples on and on ... but the best ones are still the illegal sampled and all that multitrack and vocal recordings illegal copied in studios the last 30-40 years. You can´t buy or download them anywhere. I like that illegal exotic sampled stuff just more than all that useless drumloops and song-kits

There is a new subreddit that is all sharing drum kits, and it is flooded with Boom Bap Labs packs, and they are then all showing up here. So until they stop showing up there, they are definitely gonna keep showing up on sister site.

 

I think we got trolled for Christmas.

 

To avoid these and all the clutter and as im mostly looking for software just go > left side menu > software > win or mac or whatever no more sound lib
