Hi, I just opened MIDIOX recently to see what and how it does. After this, MIDIOX created around 20 open MIDI IN and OUT ports such as orb1, ... orb20 which are now seen in Ableton. How can I close them without uninstalling MIDIOX? Thanks

If you want to leave it installed for future use, and using Windoze, you may be able to just disable it in Device Manager.
It's been a long time since i used to but I think I did something like that.

Thank you for giving the clue to check Device Manager. Now I know the more important thing that it is not MIDIOX but Bome SendSX which creates as many as 20 MIDI ports. I have disabled them in Device Manager as you said. THX

Oh, I run into this thing recently. You installed OrbComposer which comes with BOME's virtual MIDI ports creator. It's like your average virtual MIDI port creator but when correctly installed it only lets an specific app (OrbComposer) to use those ports. Of course, the output ones are for a DAW-like program.

The solution is to uninstall the whole OrbComposer or just the Bome virtual MIDI, which is at the folder:
    C:\ProgramData\Bome Software\Bome Virtual MIDI\unins000.exe"

You can just disable them like @DoubleTake well said, but this is the cleanest way.

Me too. I tried OrbComposer and I was like "when the f*ck I've installed this ports and this BOME thing".
I had to pull the string quite a while.
