Please excuse me if I have the wrong forum.

Tried installing the latest in the hopes of having a break from the portable version. All I have managed so far is running the installer and I get this.

Fatal error during Installation.

Error reading from file
C:\Windows\Installer\OFFLINE\F1AFCEEO\E87F011E\Default.kad.
Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

Would really appreciate some help.

Also get a message saying please uninstall Kontakt 7 but I did all that due to all the issues. Only using the portable at present.

I don't think I have any trace left behind. Checked registry etc.

Installer just won't complete.

I don't have the above file in Windows\Installer.

There's so many talented people here. I would be most grateful for some assistance.

Use the NI Uninstall RegTool

Did you run as administrator?

 

the requested file is from another installer.7.0.11 full setup exactlly.

so it is linked to another version management.

 

Yes I did. Incidently, I also tried running R2R's installer and get the same message.

re install 7.0.11 first
run 7.1.3 over.

 

Get Revo uninstaller.

Install 7.0.11 with revo.

Then uninstall 7.0.11 with Revo, and run a deep clean and remove everything it finds.

Install 7.13 normally or with Revo (better for future use)
