Blue Cat Audio has released version 1.7 of Blue Cat’s PatchWork, bringing the audio connectivity capabilities of its
"universal plug-ins patch bay" to a new level.

Blue Cat’s PatchWork 1.7 now includes up to 16 I/O channels for the standalone application, external sidechain input
for the effect and auxiliary outputs for the instrument. All these extra channels can be used for external routing
    with most host applications.

This new version also adds new internal audio routing features: it is now possible to map the audio inputs and outputs
of each plug-in to any channel – it is very easy to create auxiliary sends, process individual channels separately or
apply effects to the sidechain signal.

    Changes in PatchWork v1.7
    - The effect version now supports external side chain input
    - The synth version now includes multiple output busses (up to 16 output channels)
    - The standalone application now offers up to 16 audio I/O
    - Sub plug-ins audio i/o routing: connect the inputs and outputs of each plug-in to any channel
    - Latency is now compensated for individual channels when a plug-in is processing only a subset of all available channels
    - Fixed side chain input always fed with silence for some Audio Unit plug-ins
    - Fixed issue with standalone application: displayed i/o were not reset properly when changing i/o configuration
    - Fixed a crash with some VST plug-ins that use long preset names
    - Fixed demo version popup window freezing Pro Tools in some situations
    - Free for existing customers

PatchWork for Windows & Mac (VST/AU/RTAS/AAX/DX/standalone) is available for 59 EUR/$79 USD (VAT excluded)

Nice, but seemingly still no "exclusive solo" function added.
What a pity: Comparisons of minute sound differences between two or more plugins are best done by switching as immediately as possible between the different plugin chains, and this is sufficiently done only by a simple one-click switch -- which is only possible if the solo button has an "exclusive solo" function (muting the other chains by clicking on it, with Shift+Click or Ctrl+Click or however)...

    Hi guys,
I've been lurking here for a few months...
I registered just now to express my appreciation.
This is one of my favorite protools plugins mainly just to add to the total number of slots available.
Since trying it for the first time I had always wished it had the ability to use external sidechaining and multiple outputs.
I had been putting off purchasing it because of these things.
I found out about these long awaited features here first.
It's going to greatly improve my workflow and I just wanted to show my gratitude...
theDingus for the informative post and all the moderators and admins that are responsible for this sites existence.
    Thank you all!
