I don't see any magic tricks. Drums sound like 808 kicks (sines with transient, basically) and the rest sounds like found sounds/field recordings. Processed (filtered/EQ'd, compressed, overdriven, spatialized, etc).
There's not much going on in each frequency-band, so the mix is very direct and "clean". Sub bass is sub bass and knick/knacks/ticks/hats/percussion is filtered to be focused in the mids and upper mids. Pads are sparse and is not fighting with the female vocals or any other sounds.
