Over on the sister site (yea its back up - thanks) there is a liitle section on the left hand side called Friendly Sites and one of the links under that heading is Softarchive.

Feeling bored and a little curious I clicked on it and it took me to a site kinda like the sister site but for none audio apps. I thought this looks interesting and I picked a random OS to download and sat back and waited.

Once I un-rarred the files I was presented with a big ISO that claimed to have both the russian and english versions of said OS. Curious I ran bitdefender on it and low and behold it detected 9 trojans and exploites.

I immediately deleted all of the files I had down loaded and ran a full scan of my machine which came up as clean.

Has anyone else ever used this site or had these issues - just curious ?

    Don't worry...
As long as you don't download Facebook or WhatsApp, there is no worse Trojans at all!

So when an anti virus app flags 9 Trojans and expliots you would simply ignore them?

Exactly... That is why I was questioning what audiozuser76 said. Ok we know that some files can give false positives but 7 is coincidence and I would think hard and twice at even 1.

My DAW is way to important to risk.

Any activators or keygens always flag as trojans. In any event I would never put any kind of WAREZ type stuff on any computer that had anything sensitive or important on it anyway but chances are you just flagged the stuff that gets flagged in any situation like this. Try it on a safe pc first, make sure THEN put it on your DAW machine. And keep that backed up.

it's normal for antivirus to claim there's an adware or a virus in cracks or keygens. and it's not always a lye.
