I had to drop this 5 semi tones because the algorithm was a real pain.

 

Needs a remixing as levels of the vocal for me are unintelligible, are all mixed up in lower mids with the Skynyrd music.

 

Probably has something to do with the fact that it was sounding perfect then the Audiomack algorithm deleted it and I had to pull it down 5 semitones and listen to it on laptop speakers.

Very eerie how tuned down the timber of Billie Elish get somewhat close to Thom Yorke from Radiohead.

If you refine that and make it clearer it might sound fantastic.

I guess all the haters moved here from the other thread. While singers are a dime a dozen at least she sounds like herself without a lot of assistance.

I personally am not a fan, but I at least she sounds like she puts in the work. Even though she seems to lean reverb more than is the contemporary norm.

 

The second song was more dense, more keyboards and less space, mote uptempo hence they used less reverb. Still a sparce arrangement, though the verb seemed apropos to each song.

 

She has nice voice. But nothing special. There are thousands like her. I don't understand this phenomen why she is so popular.
For me this is just a fake hype twisted by mentally poor children on a tik tok. Because her videos was so cool oh my goch!
For sure for me it isn't a vocal like Thom Yorke or Kurt Cobain.
I prefer Hope Sandoval, Geike Arnaert. Even Dua Lipa, Tasha Baxter, Tove Lo or Lorde.
Saying that she is Kurt Cobain of this generation is an exaggeration.
For me Grimes fit much more to this sentence.
She is very talented. Had perfect timing with new genre "Vaporwawe". Her songs around 2012 "Genesis" and "Oblivion" was one of the first in this climate. Like her previous generation mirror Kurt Cobain have a famous partner and baby.
Kurt Cobain + Courtney Love = Baby
Grimes + Elon Musk = Baby

For me more sexy voice has very young singer Justyna from duo The Dumplings. Very talented young people.

This is only example. There are thousand young talented people like Billie Eilish and sometimes even better and more special and no one gives a fuck because they are not viral.
Fun fact. My friend had similiar voice and even look to Billie Eilish but she not even start because she thinks that her voice is nothing special and didn't like singing. For me her voice was better than Billie. I beg her to co-operate with me but she not seeing future in music.
