Thanks for the share. However, my assumption is 99.9% of this board and the Audio world know about Bitwig since its announcement back in January 2012. the 1% who doesn't know about it, did skip the news entirely for the whole month of January :dunno:

Aha am i the only one who think that Bitwig is just a publicity stunt for Ableton Live 9 ?

So much similarity without being sued is just suspicious

Why so arrogant and negative about this thread??? Is there a entry level to be able to post something???? maybe one of the so called "bringer of old news" will be the next top producer.

Never Mind Maduka the more people will know about this product the more people will be use this brilliant peace of DAW !!!

It's an opinion buddy, from a guy who studies patents and knows that if there isn't a settlement between these two we we'll hear that somebody got sued ;)

Well no, but it wouldn't hurt or take much time to do a search on something to see if a topic already exists before posting.

    A threat to Ableton?

Surely all daws are a threat to each other whether or not they look the same?

Anyway, don't know why so many people are ready to jump ship when Ableton is good enough as it is. It gets the job done, and if it don't, for the majority, then switching daw wont make a difference to how your tracks sound.

you got your login? still waiting for me. when you got it? its still silent like nothing since i got the Beta confirmation mail 8 times and 4 times on my other mail adress.

really wondering when this company will release BITWIG with that tempo we will see something in 2014 or maybe later.

but i agree BITWIG is looking so dnam similar to ableton - it looks like a direct copy of ableton with just a new gui.
and im sure you cant copy things like drum racks or whatever.

maybe its really new brand of ableton?! i mean look Live means Live and is not planned to make big projects with it ... so hey?

and meanwhile ableton 8.4 x64/x86 beta stucks at Beta8 and since 2nd oct. 2012 no new beta.

Yeah i been got my login. I signed up when one of the guys on this forum told us about it. Then they sent me an email about alpha so i did it. Yeah bro it looks A LOT like ableton. I thought
clipping editing audio files in ableton was easy and quick. Bitwig is faster and has a higher quality of the clip. Like when you warp in ableton you can get that robotic effect if you warp a segment too far. In Bitwig it
automatically sets barriers to where if you move it too far it will distort it. Also another big up for it is; Bitwig handles vst like a boss. Like.... we all know U-he Diva is a cpu hog. I loaded Diva in there
and the sh*t barely lagged! And this is all without an interface. uh the downs of the thing are the GUI. It looks like ableton, but the browser is sketchy and has bugs(as of now). Its like they mixed Sonar and Ableton. Thats the best way to describe it! But in the end it will be worth your money!Has a lot of good features. But if they find a way to rewire Bitwig in Ableton!!! That will dominate electronic music production for YEARS!!!!!

Hopefully they will cheekily have it mapped to work with APC controllers cos Live and the APC dont play nicely at all.

Live: "Ah youre having a lot of fun with that APC, allow me to freeze and crash for you"

    My problem was the attitude.

Everybody may have an opinion. It's good to learn from each other. I also heard about it a long time ago but did forgot about it. I heard some more complains about the delayed release date. I also agree that It's hard to improve a product that already is a perfect DAW. But in my opinion Ableton has build in a way to aggressive limiter (to protect the output signal when playing live. But therefor it's very hard to maintain some headroom. Other favorite DAW's that are build especially for producing and mastering doesn't have that problem. I literally keep 9 db of headroom on the kicks to keep a good amount of headroom when i'm on logic for example I can switch to 6 db on the kick when I want a
aggressive sound. and the amount of tracks is not to high. I also noticed in the Video that you got flexible edit tools on the automation. They also have made some new additions because the simple approach in ableton the DAW does have restrictions for the more advanced user ( I'm not saying I'm an advanced user ) Therefore you have to buy 3d party plugins. But there are damn good plugins inside ableton.

And the REAPER like skin? I'm sure there will be people who can approve the skin.

People, my reply was not offensive I just find it more pleasant when everybody is in peace with each other. If no one say anything then where is the line???
